The Trust Board is the organisation’s governing body. It comprises the Chairman, Non-Executive Directors, the Chief Executive and Executive Directors (senior staff of the hospital). Collectively they take corporate responsibility for the strategic development and actions of the organisation.

Retired following a long career in marketing chemicals and pharmaceuticals and several years as a company chief executive. Also a local magistrate and former chairman of the council of Brunel University.

Director of a management consultancy. Was an NHS manager for 34 years and latterly the Chief Executive of the Greater Glasgow Health Board.

Retired senior manager with Dorset Social Services, formerly Dorset's Community Care Manager. Has been a member of the Professional Executive Committee of local Primary Care Trusts.

A commercial finance director who has held senior positions with major UK and US companies. Has worked across Europe as well as North and South America. Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, BA (Hons) Durham University.

Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Substantial experience of organisational development and assessing financial risk within large organisations.

Holds a BA (Hons) Social Sciences, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and of the Institute of Training & Occupational Learning and is a Member of the Institute of Directors. Has held Senior Manager and Board positions with various large companies. Notable recent appointments have been the Personnel & Training Manager for Tesco, Human Resources Director for Reed Exhibition Companies (part of Reed Elsevier), Director with the EIS Network and recently a Human Resources Consultant with Randall Hill LLP working in the Far east, Europe and the States besides the UK.

Her NHS career has spanned 14 years within the community, acute and primary care settings at board level, including six years as a Deputy Chief Executive. Has also held a number of Executive Director positions including Director of Operations, Business Development & Marketing and Income & Information, and ran a £100m PFI project, successfully taking the project from Strategic Outline Case to Preferred Bidder.
