Fund–raising
Donations to the Trust are very much appreciated and an extremely valuable resource. Money raised for the Trust’s Charitable Funds is spent on a wide variety of equipment, training, facilities and activities which benefits both patients and staff.
Charitable Funds can help purchase large pieces of equipment, such as specialist equipment for the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) or the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Funds also buy smaller items such as large print newspapers for patients with visual impairment or toys for children in the Day Surgery Unit.
If you would like to help in this way, either by making a donation to the Trust or getting involved in fund–raising, please contact Company Secretary John Yeoman on telephone 01305 254114.
Hospital Guides
The team of hospital guide volunteers provide a valuable and much appreciated service, helping patients and visitors to find the department they are looking for when arriving at the main entrances.
If you would like to become a volunteer contact the Hospital Guides via the main reception at Dorset County Hospital or call the Guide Co–ordinator on 01305 265927.
