Why we need your help ...
…healthcare that is priceless!
Did you know that over the last year nearly 300,000 patients were cared for at our Hospital? One of the most invaluable things in life is access to excellent healthcare, but this is often something most of us rarely think about until we need it!
…for those important extras…
Charitable giving funds Hospital equipment and services over and above that which the NHS provides. Without our supporters these important extras could not be funded.
We know our benefactors want us to deliver the benefits of their hard-earned, generously-given pounds in the most efficient ways possible. That’s why £1500 given by our supporters has purchased a neo-natal mattress warming device. It reduces the need for incubator nursing and allows newborn babies to be with their mums. After all, we know you would agree that its much nicer all round if mums and babies can be together.
One of our patients is 14 years old and he lives with Cystic Fibrosis. £495 from donations has paid for a new system that completes its task of nebulising antibiotics in 2-4 minutes, and the equipment is portable…you can imagine what that means for this young person!
A new £650,000 chemotherapy unit extension has been opened providing better facilities for our patients and more space for medical staff. This happened because people like you gave generously and further support from other grant-giving foundations.
…giving to help you more…
We need your gift, too, because with your support we can accomplish service levels and patient care technology to be proud of. Can you help us? Our Charity makes a difference. We’ve been around long enough to know you don’t have to be a doctor to help. Whether you are an individual or a company, a retiree enjoying the good life or a young family just starting out, you can have an effect. Please help us help you, and those important to you, to have access to world class healthcare right here in Dorset.
How YOU can help…
